3D digitizing and reverse engineering solution to capture small and large objects
With our 3D scanners it is possible to transform the physical shape of any object into its 3D digital model. This model can be exported in standard format (STL) and can then be used in the immediate milling or in the rapid prototyping to start the production of the original object. The mathematical model obtained with our 3D digitizer can be processed in any CAD moulding environment: this considerably simplifies, for example, the difficult phase of mould creation.

The measurement accuracy of single-acquisition varies from about 10 μm to 70 microns MD framed according to the area, (from about 5 μm to 30 μm for Hi-Res version). The development of three-dimensional scanning is via a single integrated processing environment: the output starts with the simple point cloud passes for polygonal models (STL) to reach NURBS surface scan (IGES). Coupled scanner version is available in a range of complementary software applications that allow you to completely manage the entire process of Reverse Engineering. 3D
The result is the so-called point cloud of the surface measured. This technology exploits the projection of fringes of incoherent light that the object of interest according to the deformed shape of its surface. The processing of the images containing the deformation of the fringes allows to extract the information of the object shape

The scanning system easily connects to your PC via USB 2.0 connection

Our solution to 3D scanning allows you to scan on statues, capitals, or any other thing of artistic nature ensuring accuracy and a superb quality finish. This system can then be adopted by all those involved in architectural, cultural, religious art, and funerary stone (design and manufacture of marble and granite) The scanning system produces an STL file. The STL file format is a universal standard that is readable by any system CAD / CAM system available today. E 'Therefore, you can scan to a milling center in order to achieve the prototype work the raw material directly on a CNC machine This scanning system was used successfully to perform a full 3D survey on the Winged Victory statue kept in the Museo di Santa Giulia in the city of Brescia (see picture above published) |

Optical RevEng manages the process of recognizing the optical scanning Markers and aligns them automatically without any intervention by dell'opertore. The tools available allow you to work effectively on the point cloud also large, making the removal of isolated points and eliminate the trailers produced by the measurement. It 'also possible thanks to the supplied software, chiuedere holes in continuity, smooth the surface, pull out sections in IGES, decimate and remove the noise, bring the normal and better overall result of the mesh STL 3D digitizing. The point cloud produced is used for the automatic creation of polygonal models. digitized model action can be taken using advanced editing tools of the triangles, such as filling holes, the sampling curve and regression of measurement data to simple primitives such as planes and cylinders
